As you can see, our pupils have quite literally leapt into this week! It has been wonderful to have all year groups fully underway following the arrival of our newest children in Nursery and Reception. In true King Offa fashion, they have quickly become part of our school family.

I have been incredibly impressed by how well our new pupils have settled and embraced the King Offa way. This is a real testament to the strong partnerships we have with our families and the excellent nurturing support provided by our staff. Well done to Pebble and Ocean classes. You are amazing!

Further up the school, I was privileged to witness a spontaneous act of kindness from Archie in Year 6. During one of the ever-popular lunchtime football games, Archie chose to make sure our Year 3 pupils were included and enjoying the game, rather than focusing solely on playing with the more experienced children. It was a fantastic example of leadership, kindness and teamwork. Well done, Archie.

We were also excited to hear that our annual Sponsored Walk will take place on Friday 25th September. We are keeping our fingers crossed for good weather and looking forward to taking on the challenge of an even greater distance now that we are a year older! Whilst reading with Rosie in the library, I was delighted to see the enthusiasm of our Year 5 pupils as they selected their next books. Whether it is an exciting adventure story or a fascinating fact book, there is something special about getting lost in a good read. Our families do a fantastic job of supporting reading at home, and this makes a huge difference to children's development and confidence.

As a parent myself, I always enjoy sharing stories with my children and am eagerly awaiting the next chapter of Lottie Brooks, which my daughter and I are currently reading together.
