    Headteacher's Update 3rd October 2025

Being the Headteacher of King Offa Primary Academy is a real privilege.

One task that emphasises this has been reading the applications for our Year 6 Ambassadors. I have been astounded by the quality of the candidates and can confidently say that they would all be fine representatives of our school. A quote from Erin’s application sums up the care and pride that these pupils have shown.

“I always try my best and would be very proud to represent our school and to help others find their way.”

It will be a really tough job to select only six from such an amazing group of pupils.

It is not only our Year 6s that have put themselves forward for positions of responsibility. Pupils from Year 3 to 6 have been selected to be class librarians.  This is ahead of the grand opening of our newly refurbished library that is set to open next week. Thank you to all pupils for having the courage and confidence to put themselves forward.

Last week, I asked families how far we walked in total during our Sponsored walk. Amazingly, we covered just over a thousand miles. 1032 miles, for those who would like the exact figure. This is an incredible achievement. We look forward to seeing how much this raised for our school and charity once the final donations are in. There is still time to submit your sponsorship through Arbor.

As we wave goodbye to September and welcome October, we look forward to more exciting events to come.

    Yours Faithfully, James Towner
