    Headteacher's Update 17th October 2025

Don’t worry, Ava is perfectly well and in one piece. Although she is being expertly looked after by Navya. Reception classes enjoyed a visit from a Paramedic team this week, part of a series of visits from the Public Services. With the care and consideration that our pupils show, many would be suited to these admirable professions.

The theme for King Offa this week has been equality and inclusion. In our assembly we adopted the slogan of “showing racism the red card”. At King Offa we firmly believe in celebrating our differences and supporting one another, irrespective of race or any other characteristic. I was very impressed with how well our pupils have reflected this message through kind words and kind hands.

Approaching the winter months inevitably brings sniffles, colds and coughs. There will be times when pupils are really not well enough to come to school. We would, however, always encourage resilience for those marginal days. Statistics clearly show a positive correlation between attendance and attainment. To celebrate our successes we have introduced the 100% Club. Recongising those that have 100% attendance for each week. Are you in the club? If not, let’s see if you can make it in for next week.

Finally, thank you for such positive engagement during parent’s evenings this week. The smiles and well wishes reflected our King Offa extended family.

    Yours Faithfully,

    James Towner
