    Headteacher's Update 27th February 2026

After so many fantastic achievements this week, it almost feels outdated to simply welcome you back for Term 4. As always, I have been truly impressed with how quickly our school community has settled back into our routine of meeting high expectations.

These high standards were clearly reflected during a quality assurance visit on Wednesday. We were pleased to welcome Thomas McMorrin, Director of Education from Aurora Trust, and Francis Nation, an external consultant to our school. They were able to see first-hand how we continue to improve. Among the many successes they noted, they were particularly impressed by:

    • The excellent learning taking place across the wider curriculum,

    • Maths lessons that they described as the best they have seen at King Offa, and

    • The exemplary Five Star Behaviours demonstrated by our pupils.

Following my assembly on Monday, where I introduced Pride as our core value for this term, I could not be more proud of our continuously improving school. Thank you to everyone who contributes to this success.

To round off the week, our Year 6 pupils enjoyed a workshop from Power to Drive, linking to their learning about different sources of electricity—renewable, non-renewable, and sustainable. The children also built electric cars and investigated the speed, direction, and distance travelled by their vehicles. The future of British engineering is certainly in safe hands!

    Have a wonderful weekend.
