Headteacher's Update 24th April 2026
Ready, set, go!
Our Year 1 and Year 5 pupils have been zooming around the playground and local streets on their bikes this week. They have been learning new skills, staying safe, and having a fantastic time thanks to the continued support of the Bikeability team.
Making the most of the fine spring weather, some of our Year 3 pupils also took their Maths learning outdoors with Miss Brown. After racing from number to number and shouting out number sentences, everyone felt energised both physically and mentally. It really shows that learning can take place anywhere!
At the end of last week, families were informed of the primary school their child had been offered a place at. We were delighted to see how many families had chosen King Offa as their school of choice, demonstrating the growing popularity of our school and its wonderful community. We now look forward to getting to know our next cohort, who will be welcomed with open arms.
Your comments and views are integral to our continued development. Following your feedback from last year’s family survey, we have made significant improvements to our community offer, strengthened our systems to support excellent behaviour, and ensured a wider range of school trips. In the coming weeks, we will once again invite you to share how we are doing and how we can continue to grow as a school. More information will follow shortly.
It looks like the fine weather is set to continue this weekend, and I hope you are all able to make the most of it.
Yours faithfully,
James Towner
