    Headteacher's Update 15th May 2026

What a success! We are incredibly proud of our Year 6 pupils for completing their SATs this week. They approached the week with determination and confidence, and their support for one another was remarkable, truly demonstrating the spirit of King Offa camaraderie. All their hard work has certainly paid off, and we now look forward to receiving the results in July. Year 6 can now enjoy returning to the wider curriculum and begin the transition process as they prepare for secondary school.

Fundraising for Great Athletes was once again hugely successful. Thank you to everyone for supporting such a worthwhile cause. Together, pupils and families raised over £2,000—an incredible achievement. We are now in the process of purchasing new sports equipment that will benefit all pupils for years to come. The remaining funds will help support future Olympians and Paralympians in achieving their ambitions of becoming the next Great British stars.

During our staff meeting this week, teachers and support staff enjoyed exploring pupils’ work from Reception to Year 6, with a particular focus on the progression of writing across year groups. It was inspiring to see how knowledge and skills develop as pupils move through the school. Working across year groups is a vital part of staff development, giving everyone a deeper understanding of what has been taught previously and what lies ahead. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a skilled and dedicated team of staff.

    Yours faithfully,

    James Towner
