    Headteacher's Update 2nd October 2026

It is my pleasure to introduce some of our Year 6 ambassadors. Pupils were invited to apply for leadership positions in four areas: Front of House, Wellbeing, Sport and Reading. The Senior Leadership Team was overwhelmed by the quality of the applications. It filled us with pride to see how our oldest pupils have matured into such excellent ambassadors for our school.

At the other end of the school, Year 1 and 2 pupils explored the qualities of a good leader during assembly. They unanimously agreed that empathy, communication, listening and integrity are essential qualities of effective leadership. These are all characteristics that pupils learn and develop throughout their time at King Offa. It is exciting to see our potential leaders of the future growing in confidence and character.

Thank you so much for your generosity in sponsoring our pupils for last week's sponsored walk. We are delighted to share that we have now surpassed £2,000. A special mention goes to T-Jay and his family for raising an incredible £500. Every contribution supports worthwhile causes, including the continued development of our school. We will be consulting with pupils through the School Council to explore exactly how the funds will be used.

There is still time to submit your sponsorship using the link below:

Next week, our Year 6 pupils and staff will be setting off on an adventure to PGL. Let's hope they enjoy some early nights over the weekend in preparation for what promises to be an exciting residential trip.

As we reach the halfway point of a busy first term, I would like to wish you all a restful and enjoyable weekend.

    Yours faithfully,

    James Towner
